Fear of public speaking is one of the most universal fears out there, so if you’re starting to worry about that part of your marriage ceremony, you’re not alone! This guide is intended to give you some pointers on how to deal with those nerves.
My Background
I have always been drawn to public speaking. It’s perhaps partially a reason why I became a lawyer. I spent a number of years with Toastmasters International; a public speaking and leadership organisation which fosters public speaking and leadership skill development. If you have the time, and the interest, I highly recommend finding out more about this organisation.
I have had years to better my public speaking skills, and have mentored a number of students and young professionals. I have seen the devastating effect that a fear of public speaking can have on a person individually, and also in their professional life. I am passionate about helping people face this fear, in order to learn and grow from it.
Public speaking is not an exact science. There are many techniques on how to deal with public speaking anxiety, so I recommend doing your own research to supplement this guide.
